    DSD Environmental Protection Policy

    DSD Shipping AS is committed to protect the environment and remains dedicated to its ultimate goal of “ZERO SPILL”.
    In addition to complying with all the regulatory requirements of MARPOL 73/78, DSD Shipping through its Environmental Department is striving to adopt and implement the industry best practices to combat marine pollution.
    DSD Shipping AS aims to be a fully compliant ISO14001:2004 operator, minimizing its environmental impact as a vessel operator not only through control measure onboard its vessels but also within its shore organization.
    All DSD vessels are required to closely follow the Company’s Environment Protection Plan which incorporates procedures to:

  • Prevent pollution by oil.
  • Prevent pollution by noxious liquid substances in bulk.
  • Prevent pollution by vessel’s sewage.
  • Prevent pollution by vessel’s garbage.
  • Prevent air pollution.
  • Prevent volatile organic cargo emission pollution.


  • DSD Shipping AS will continue to identify areas of improvement within its existing Environmental Protection Plan to incorporate the challenges of the future. DSD Shipping will strive to implement its strong Environmental Protection Culture in the operations of its key stake holders (e.g. suppliers, contractors, etc.)

    DSD Quality Policy

    The Company considers the requirements in NS-EN-ISO-9001:2008 and the ISM-Code as a valuable contribution to raise the level of quality in the organisation and on board the Company's vessels.
    The Company is operating within the international shipping market and the Quality Policy is based on international rules and regulations identified in the Company's standard list of publications.


    The ISO-9001:2008 and the Safety Management System strengthens DSD’s position in being able to:
  • Maintain and develop the Company's position as carriers of Crude Oil, Clean products and Chemical cargoes.
  • Professionally operate the vessels to obtain good safety and environmental records and minimized risk exposure, giving optimum profit.
  • Be recognised as a preferred Company for the transportation of Crude Oil, Clean Products and Chemical cargoes.
